Hello my Christmas honeys,
How's everyone doing? The countdown is on for Christmas :D
Have you ever dyed your hair and it didn't turn out the way you want it? I know I have, I've always relied on bleach or colour b4 to help me rectify anything that does go wrong. My blog seems to centre around my hair, I'm always changing it and I guess I like to share my new colour, I personally LOVE looking at people's new hair whether it be colour or cut. So, my last posts have been about me changing my hair colour and with this you know the damage that comes with it.
I'm always happy to try new and natural ways to help me go lighter. I looked on the Internet and on youtube and found this coke trick, you're meant to wash your hair in coke and it is supposed to strip the hair. Didn't really get the science behind it but I thought I would try it anyway, nothing happened, I just got a very cold head and sticky hair.
Enter vitamin C, I found a video and she had tried a bunch of different things, like washing powder, washing up liquid and vitamin c. I didn't really take notice of it and I found another video about the vitamin c method, yes I said vitamin c, I know crazy right. In this video he went to Holland and Barrett and bought some vitamin c powder, it doesn't have to be powder but smashing up pills just doesn't appeal to me.
A little brief reason why I wanted to do this. I was blonde and decided that for Christmas I'd like to go red, I had my roots coming through and I just decided to do it. The red I used last time didn't look right so I added Rubine from Directions because red hair can be topped up to make it look more intense. It went purple/pink just looked like Rose red and I didn't like that at all. The funny thing is, I've been wanting pink hair for ages but just wasn't able to achieve it for some reason and it takes me stripping my hair to get it pink. Accidental hair is often the best hair.
Back to the post, This is what you do and what you will need and I will show you the pictures afterwards.
You will need vitamin c, again it can be pills or powder and it doesn't have to be Holland and Barrett. A tint bowl, or plate or bowl - whatever you use just be aware that it could be messy so I used a tint bowl. A teaspoon, Shampoo - You can use any kind of shampoo that you like but I used head and shoulders because anti-dandruff shampoo helps to remove the colour. A tint brush to stir it, you don't need a tint brush I just used it. A good conditioner, you can use any that you like I just macadamia nut. And a plastic bag, shower curtain or if you can get your hands on those caps that they have in salons then you can use one of those.
Before I start I do want to tell you that this will make your hair dry at the ends but a good deep condition and it'll sort it out. It can be gritty which might dry your hands out too. When I was taking it through my hair some of the directions dye came off on my hands but was easy to wash off.
So what you do is get 10 teaspoons of the powder and 40ml of shampoo (I used a little bit more because it didn't make the paste I needed) mix them together and voila. It should thick in consistency, think of icing sugar and that's what it should look like. Firstly you need to wash your hair, take out as much water as you can so it's still wet but not sopping wet. Once you hair is ready you can put the mixture on however you wish, just make sure it is all covered. Once it's covered massage it into the roots and when it's starting to look soapy you're ready. How long you leave it is your choice, I wrapped it up in a carrier bag, (safety first people I don't want you to suffocate or anything) I left it on for 2hrs, when removing this I did wash my hair afterwards with a herbal essences moisture shampoo and then put on my deep conditioner.
Obviously because it was wet it didn't actually look like it had worked but when it was dry in the daylight I could definitely notice it. The first attempt took a lot out of it and was left with an orangey pink, so I knew I would have to do it again, on the second attempt I got exactly what I want. On the left side there's a blonde streak which makes it look quite cool. I have about 2 inches of roots which isn't good. I do plan to keep the pink for a little while, as I have the colour I want I'm just going to put a pink dye on top to freshen it up.
Here are the pictures. As the weather is bad obviously it's hard to get decent pictures but I do think these ones are pretty true to life.
Please ignore my face in the second picture, I had only just woken up. So, the first picture is obviously what I started with and the second picture is after the first attempt of stripping it, the third picture is my hair now.
I hope you've all found this post helpful and I'm sorry it was a bit rambly. At the moment Holland and Barrett's are doing a buy one get one half price so if you want to buy some online you can do so here there is a lot in the bottle, you will get two uses out of it, I do still have some left I'm not sure exactly how much but when you think you could pay £6.99 for this or you could pay £50+ on getting your hair professionally stripped and the damage you will do, it's just a good idea to try this.
Much love

New hair (again?)
Hello gawjus :)
I hope you are all well.
Yes it's that time again, I am here to share my new hair - "but Joy you always have new hair, it's hard to keep up and how do you have any hair left?" well my little cherubs I'm far too daring aren't I? orignially I just wanted to do my roots, but you try doing your own roots and not touching any of the hair that isn't roots, it's near impossible. I bought a box of Live colour XXL 00A absolute platinum blonde, this has everything you need it's bleach for those people who don't know hair dye ratios and the colour percent of bleach to use. I did think about using colour before but I needed my roots white and I knew this product would give me that. So, I set out to do my roots and ended up taking most of the midlength colour off too, this stuff really did work a treat but I wanted to do the rest and try out a different colour.
As you can see from the pictures my hair wenr very yellow and it just didn't look nice. the roots were exactly what I was hoping for so I could use a pale pink The second picture was how it turned out after I had done the first bleach, I quite liked the blonde and pink together but me being me I wanted to get rid of it all and the last picture is me at college, my tutor did me an updo
This is the dye that I used.
It comes with; cream developer, powder bleach, conditioner and everything else that you usually get with a box dye.
The first thing I will say about this and every other live hairdye is you need to do it in a very well ventilated room, it is so strong it made my eyes water and actually made me cough because it was that potent.
The good thing about this product is yes my roots went the same colour as it said it would, I just need to take into consideration next time that it doesn't need as long on the midlengh and ends, that is the only reason it turned yellow. I do love this product, I went to the salon and had my hair done which cost me £80 for colour correction and although I'm not fully up to speed with hairdressing I did just as good as job on my own. Because the ends were very white and the rest was yellow I put an ashy blonde over this after leaving it for a week to revert back to it's natural pH balance I have to say the box dye I use did absolutely nothing, it made my roots really bland and the yellow tones were still there. My tutor at college has now sorted it out soI am a full blondeheaded lovely haha.
So, this is my new hair colour, my tutor keeps telling me I am not allowed to dye it but I don't listen to anybody when it comes to my hair haha.
Afew little tips if you want to do your hair without paying salon prices -
~Ashy colours get rid of yellow tones, ashy colours look grey and although they don't have much tone they really do make a differece.
~If you want to do your own then try colour b4 if that doesn't work then try the colour I used and just ignore the times for midlengths and ends. This colour as soon as it touches the hair it starts to work.
~If you do bleach your hair and it doesn't turn out the way you want it to, you don't have to spend a lot on toning your hair, direcions do a white toner which is purple; purple is oposite yellow on the colour chart so counteracts it.
~I know deep conditioners can be expensive, instead of shelling out for them use your everyday conditioner and leave it on for as long as possible. Your hair is going to need this after you've bleached it.
~To keep the blonde looking nice you can use a lavendar shampoo, they can help too.
There are so many ways around paying for the most expensive treatments. For now I am going to be good to my hair and do some treatments and try to get it healthy again. I am probably going to use one of my directions hairdyes because they aren't as bad for my hair but I am still going to give it a little rest until next week :)
I already have an idea of what colour I want to go next :D
Peace and love

New hurr, long rambly post.
Hello cupcakes,
How are you all doing?
Recently I've been bitten by the hair bug (no I don't have nits, hmm perhaps I need to rephrase that lol) I've been wanting to go lighter and then dye my hair pink, last night I decided I was going to lighten it so here is what my hair looks now and a review about the products I used to get me to lighter hair.
This is what my hair looked like before.
And this is my hair now.
How did you achieve this? your hair is pretty dark. Well here is what I did to go from dark to light in 60 minutes, what 60 minutes? That's ludicrous! well it isn't actually. I'm going to let you into a little secret, I used Colour b4, yep no bleach and no ammonia. I managed to save up enough points on my Superdrug card so I thought I would buy this with them.
Here is what the site says about Colour B4
''Has your hair received multiple colour applications and become dark and flat? Or if you have applied a dark brown, red or black shade (you just don’t want) then Colour B4 Extra Strength can help. Colour B4 Extra Strength hair colour remover is the safest and most effective way to remove an undesirable hair colour."
I've heard so many mixed reviews about this stuff, some say it doesn't work and some say it does. This is my third time using it and I've never had any problems with it. I always use the extra strength one.
Because Colour B4 doesn't contain bleach and ammonia you can dye your hair straight after you use this. I'm sure you probably could, but I always leave my hair alone after I put Colour B4 on. I put my hair through so much and I like to leave it, plus I also always like the way my hair turns out once I have used it. I wanted to go lighter and I didn't expect the results that I got. At first I was shocked because it was a lot lighter than I intended it to be, however, I liked it! I wanted change and I got so I'm perfectly happy to keep it for a while. As you can see from the pictures it looks like it blonde but it is a mixture between blonde and red. Growing up I had blonde hair, this changed when I got passed 5 it started to darken and became a mousy brown (which I hated) so I started to dye it when I became 16, against mothers wishes. The colour I had in the first picture was Casting Creme gloss by L'Oreal, and I did like the colour I but I wanted to be lighter so that I could go red again, call me crazy but I always feel like I'm a more confident person with red hair. The thing I love so much about hair is it's versatility, you can change the colour you can change the
Now, you shouldn't expect this to completely strip your hair and expect it to look exactly how you want it, because if you use permanent colour each time you colour it, the hair changes from its natural state and will never lose that colour until you either grow it out or cut it. It's called permanent hairdye for a reason. Colour B4 shrinks the artificial dye molecules in the hair, enabling you to simply wash them away.
The thing I do not like about colour b4.
If you use the extra strength one you have to leave it on for 60 minutes which isn't a problem to me because I can do a lot in that time, but, you have to spend ages washing it all out then you have to wash your twice with a bufferer. It might make your hair feel a little bit like straw at first.
Now onto the next bit of this review, my hair at the ends felt like straw, I could brush it but it really hurt. I was frantically worrying what I could use because I don't have masses amounts of products (which I do need to invest in now) for my hair so I was panicking because I needed something to tame the ends. GlossyBox to the rescue I remembered I got some hair oil in I think it was Septembers glossybox. Now, I had my reservations about this stuff because, I have quite oily hair at the crown and I thought it would just make the problem worse. It says to add 1 to 2 pumps of it but I knew I'd need a bit more than that so I added 4. You add it to the tips of your fingers and then mix it together to warm it up a little and then add it to your hair. My hair has never felt so soft, it wasn't horrible, it didn't make my hair sticky it was a godsend. I'm not sure if I would be able to repurchase it because it's pretty expensive. If anyone can offer me a good cheap hair oil or serum that I can pick up from superdrug or boots when I have some money that would be awesome. I would say that it's probably a good thing to have and if you can afford to splurge.
So there we have it, my new hair and how I did it. If It was bleach I would say be careful but this is fine, It is literally fool proof. Use it as you would a normal hairdye, but if you use the extra strength one you leave it for 60 minutes. It is a faff to wash it out but just stick with it and you'll be fine. Colour b4 is pretty pricey at £12 and you can pick it up at Boots or Superdrug.
Peace, love and sunshine

Neutrogena anti residue shampoo
Hello cupcakes,
I hope you're all well, fear not it's the weekend soon yay.
I was going through my computer and I found this post which I had written ages ago and I thought I would post it. I don't have any pictures of my hair and I'm not using this shampoo at the moment but I will be repurchasing it again soon.
So here is the post.
I want to talk today about a shampoo that I recently purchased. I have written about my hair and how it is the biggest pain in my life. Around my crown I have a really greasy patch. I always try new shampoos, just like mascaras. It's good to keep switching up your shampoo and conditioner because your hair get's so used to one shampoo very quickly and it just stops doing it's job, if you walk into my bathroom you will see five different shampoos lol.
So, "anti residue" if you use a ton of products on your hair while styling or don't remove all of the shampoo and conditioner properly you get build-up on your scalp resulting in greasy patches like mine, your hair will become dull lifeless and weighed down because you have all of this buildup and you will find your hair will become harder to work with. When you have a greasy scalp it means your sebaceous glands are producing too much grease, which is a serious pain in the backside, just like your skin you have millions of these tiny glands they secrete an oily/waxy substance called sebum.
I started to do some research and came across a YouTube video which mentioned Bumble and Bumble Sunday something or other which removes product buildup, the problem is Bumble and Bumble is expensive because the UK doesn't get it, so instead I typed in "anti residue shampoo" and the Neutrogena anti residue shampoo came up. It was still pricey I think I paid $15 and then p&p. I got it on eBay, I'm not sure of the seller etc, just type in neutrogena anti residue shampoo and I'm sure it'll come up for you.
When the shampoo came I was at an all time low with my hair, the greasy patch wouldn't bugger off and I was getting so annoyed, I used this once and I'm not even kidding the greasy spot had gone and all product buildup traces had gone. My hair felt so soft and bouncy and I was just happy and in love with my hair again. But one morning I went into the bathroom and noticed that a lot of it had disappeared, my husband had been using it everytime he washed his hair :-0 I wasn't happy.
I will warn you that If you have coloured hair then be careful with this product because the shampoo is used for stripping your hair of products. I use it once a week and use my normal shampoo every other time I wash and they worked so well, my hair was shiny and soft and it bounced, my hair does NOT bounce.
I would give this shampoo 5stars, it lathers up really nicely and it doesn't just promise it will work for you, it does work. I will buy again because it's always a good idea to have some sort of shampoo which is good for removing residue, I know that Pantene have brought one out which I am intrigued to try out, maybe I will do a product smackdown and see which I like better. In terms of price, it is pricey and I am sure that if you live in the States you could pick this baby up pretty cheaply because it is drugstore, but you get a lot of product for your money and because you don't use it everyday this bottle will last you for a good couple of months.
There we have it, have you tried this shampoo? I'd love to know what you use

New MAC Paint pots
Hello cupcakes,
I hope you're all ok and had a great weekend. I'm off this week which is super nice, not like I'm going to be doing much relaxing I've got lots to do for college and I have decided I'm going to bombard you with Blogposts mwhahaha lol, I'm just kidding.
I think everyone who follows me here and on twitter will know just how obsessed I am with MAC Paint Pots, you can read my previous post on my Paint Pots here so I don't repeat everything I've mentioned before. The reason I like Paint pots is, they're just so low maintenance. Sometimes I'm going out and I don't feel like spending a ton of time on Makeup because I don't have time or whatever other reason but you can stick one of these babies in your bag and you're sorted. They last for ages on my eyes and my eyelids can get pretty greasy, you can apply them with a brush or you can just use your fingers. They're simple yet nice products. I know a lot of people would be instantly turned off by the price and I can agree but one of these paint pots if you store it right and keep it nice could last you for years. That my dears is why I am planning to get as many of them as I can, I LOVE versatile products :-).
I've been waiting for MAC to bring out some nice new paint pots that have good colour pay off and different colours to the permanent ones they have already on the site and in store. It seemed like I had to wait an age for it to happen, I waited patiently (just because I knew it would happen one day soon lol) and recently they came out with some new ones in one of their new collections which I am not sure of the name. I got straight onto google to find swatches etc and I new I had to have them. I got two because MAC were doing free delivery that weekend so I had to take advantage of it.
Here are the pictures :-)
From L - R. Pure creation, Half-Wild and Constructive (which is actually permanent)
I'm not very good at explaining colours so you can agree with me or not here lol.
Pure creation - it's like a peacock blue with hints of green, it's a really gorgeous colour. Like purple I am always searching for a nice blue which doesn't come out black when applied to the skin and this one definitely doesn't.
Half-Wild - I don' know what to say about this purple other than wow, I've been wanting MAC to bring out a purple paint pot for so long and I had to grab them while I could and I did lol. I would say this is the perfect kind of purple, it's a plum purple and I just want to wear it everyday for the rest of my life lol.
Constructive - I'm going to say the same thing about the other two here WOWZERS, seriously this paint pot is just ahmayzing, I would say it's the perfect shade of brown for my eyes because it makes them look even more blue, if that's possible. It's gorgeous and I can only describe it as a bronzed brown.
My final thoughts on these paint pots is just sweet criminy lol, I am so happy with all three of my purchases, I would buy again and I would definitely make my friends get them lol. I have own swatched Pure Creation and Half-Wild but the constructive paint pot is so lovely on, it lasts for ages is just the perfect brown for me. I know with some Paint Pots you don't get very good colour payoff, yes I'm looking at you Rubenesque lol, and yes to get the swatches I had to swipe a couple of times but the colour is still gorgeous and I am going to love playing with them :-)
There we have it, have you seen any nice new paint pots recently? I welcome all suggestions and I will buy when I have the money. Usually I buy makeup and I do stash it but with paint pots I get the most wear out of them because I wear them all the time.
Peace and Love.

My two cents on the September and August GlossyBox.
Hello my loves,
I hope you're all having a great week :-)
I didn't bother doing a Glossybox review last month. Instead I decided instead of doing two separate posts Id do one for the the last two boxes, so I will apologise in advance this may be a long post.
I'm going to be honest I'm cancelling my subscription. I think that Glossybox is an amazing idea and I fell in love with the idea just not the products. I went into my cupboard the other day and I saw all the boxes that had opened but forgotten about, that's how bad it is that? I think I would rather put £12.95 in my savings account each month and go on a huge shopping spree when I have enough pennies.
Here are all of the goodies from the last two boxes, I keept the perfume samples out of this.
I will do the September bits first.
HD Brows (Eye&Brow Palette)
I'm going to have a little rant about this product, I am quite excited to be able to try this but I'm just not sure I understand the "HD Brows" label. Why are they HD? The box came just like this, no outer packaging or instructions. I'm not sure if this just me, but, when I buy something I want it to be in nice packaging with a sales pitch, I need to ask myself "why do you want this product? is it worth the money?" and all those kind of questions, it didn't give me that and I feel a bit short changed, I know that seems snobbish or quite petty but I'm right. Doing brows isn't rocket science of course but for the newbies wouldn't it be nice to have instructions? This probably won't be used because I have quite bushy brows but it's a good thing to have.
GlossyBox say
"Eyebrow experts HD Brows have developed a handy handbag palette with four matt eyebrow colours, which can also double up as an eye shadow and eyeliner."
L’Oréal Professionnel (Mythic Oil)

L’Oréal Professionnel (Mythic Oil)
I am looking forward to trying this out actually, the only problem I have is my hair gets greasy on it's own so I'm not sure adding extra oil will be a good thing or a bad thing.
GlossBox say.
"Unveil the power of Mythic Oil from L’Oréal Professionnel. Enriched with a special blend of avocado and grape seed oil, this lightweight oil cares and pampers all hair types. Intensely nourishing even the finest hair, the formula leaves hair looking shiny and feeling supple."

StriVectin (SD Eye Concentrate)
I'm excited about trying this out too, I have been getting a few as I like to call them "smile lines" around my eye and the dark circles just really depress me.

Murad (Time Release Blemish Cleanser)
My skin has been quite bad of late (I guess it's also due to the fact that I have been eating a massive ton of junk food) and I had a reaction to my usual face stuff which left me with a horrible swollen eye and face :'( but I'd like to give this guy a good go.

Babyliss heated rollers
Hello my loves,
I hope you're all ok.
Today's review is about a set of heated rollers which I have had for a while (probably about 2years) I'd put them in my cupboard out of the way so my ex wouldn't break them and today I decided I wanted to give them a go, I was thinking about selling them on eBay if I didn't like them. Hmm, it really does feel like I start every post with "I've had these for a while, I thought I'd give them a chance before selling them and so on" As my friend tells me, I'm so bloody impulsive and buy stuff which I just do not need. I'll let you know straight up I am not selling them.
When you switch them on the little red spot on the front row turns white which means they're ready to use. I always thought heated rollers would be so hard to use, but I have to be honest the only part of the rolling process that I struggled with was wrapping all of my hair around the rollers because I have layers in layers in my hair, but that isn't really an issue with the rollers.
In terms of the heating up process, I didn't think they heated up that quick which isn't a problem because you know with heated rollers you are going to have to take your time with them. I did burn my fingers a little bit but again that's my fault because of the way I held them, I also got my hair stuck around one of the rollers which was a pain in the bum but I managed to come out the other side with no split ends lol..
Overall, I am really happy these rollers, they give sexy Hollywood waves, however, and I am not sure if this is just because how long I left them in or didn't use enough hairspray etc, they did drop out fairly quickly. I think because it was my first time using them I became impatient and had to see the results, lol, next time I will definitely leave them in longer and drown the curls in hairspray.
So would you like to see a few pictures?
I love the way the curls came out, they looked super pretty and I felt sophisticated just for 10mins and then they dropped lol.
And here is the rollers, I don't think these guys would be a good idea for traveling because the packaging is petty bulky but they are very nice felted rollers. You get a good amount of rollers which range in size, they seem to be 1 1/2inch ones, then 1inch and half an inch.
The plastic lid sturdy enough, however, I didn't try and bash so maybe it is or isn't sturdy.
The bottom left hand picture, I'm not sure what that is. I think it's where the steam is produced I didn't pay enough attention.
When you switch them on you the light goes red and it's up to you really whatever temperature you have the rollers on, I set it to the highest. They did feel really quite heavy on my head but I guess that is also expected.
And last but not least, you get a ton of the claw clips, you do also get the meal pins but I cannot find them.
What are your favourite heated rollers? I'd quite like to try another brand of rollers when I have some cash.

Ecotools brushes
Hello my loves,
I hope you're all well.
When watching YouTube videos or even blog posts, I notice that people have mostly MAC brushes and MAC makeup, it seems to be the most popular brand. I'm not saying this is a bad thing because each to their own, but I just don't beginners to watch these videos and think "Oh no I have to spend a crap ton of money on all this makeup and brushes to get the same effect" because they don't, some people are just snobs and won't go for cheaper brands. I feel that people talk about MAC and overlook the other options and there is always a cheaper alternative like Sigma but who have MAC dupes, there is Crown which seem really good and I plan to make an order with them once I have paid for my college course. But, today I want to talk about Ecotools, I love these brushes.
I didn't think that the UK would get Ecotools because I'd never seen them, apparently Boots sell them which is news to me. I ordered my Ecotools brush set from eBay, I'm sorry I can't give you specific prices and the seller which I used, however, I did look last night on eBay and you can buy them for cheap. On eBay you will be made to pay higher prices so please don't buy the first set you see keep scrolling through and you can definitely get them cheaper. I opted for the 5 piece brush set and I couldn't be happier.
I really like the brush roll that it comes with, I think it's made of hemp or something like that. They come nicely packaged and have their own little compartment to lay in. I'm not going to talk about the comb brush because I've never used it, I don't use them. I love the look of bamboo brushes I just think they look nicer than a boring black like MAC brushes, in my humble opinion everything should be pink, but that's just me ;-)
Ok, so I do believe this is a concealer brush, they don't have names on them which is a bit of a pain but it's ok because I use them for everything. I think this brush is actually just phenomenal, it works so well with cream products like my paint pots it gives such a nice even coverage. But I also like it for just regular eyeshadow, if you pat the eyeshadow on with this guy you can get a really nice eye look. This brush cleans like a dream, with my white MAC brushes no matter how hard I clean them they are still stained, but this brush I have no problem with cleaning.
I think this one is an eyeshadow brush, like the first brush this is amazing for cream and eyeshadows, they are both a little bit stiffer but still soft enough it doesn't hurt your eyes or drag, it gives good coverage and it's just plain fantastic. I think this brush is great for getting into the crease too, just put a little bit of eyeshadow on the and "rock it in your socket" If I had paid £15 for this brush set I wouldn't have complained that it's too expensive because these brushes are so versatile, they work well with creams and shadows. I just really couldn't be happier.
This blush brush makes me so happy, I'm not a blush wearer but I do have a few blushes because I would quite like to wear them every so often. I'd never really tried to apply blush or bronzer but with this beaut WOW I'm not even kidding, it is so easy to use you get a soft look or press harder and you get the most gorgeous glow, it's good for blending out the product and it just does everything you need it to do. I honestly cannot believe how cheap these brushes are for the quality you get and it is a nice decent size and perfect. I haven't tried this with a cream blush yet, but I would like to see how it handles
This brush, I'm really confused about it. I have previously listed this in my favourite brushes, I'd compared it to my MAC 266 (which I adore) I thought it was that good, but I recently cleaned it and it lost of its shape it became so limp in the respect that when I applied my eyeliner it just became a big mess the line was nowhere near as precise as it had been previously and I'm baffled as to what I did wrong. I loved this brush and I even picked up a backup from eBay.
Do you lovelies have any Ecotools brushes I have to try out?

The 4 deadly sins of Joy
Hello my loves,
I hope you're all doing well.
So I know the title seems a little dramatic, and please don't worry I am not going to talk about the "seven deadly sins" I'm going to talk about the Wet N Wild palettes in Pride, Greed, Vanity and Lust. I love the names, I think they're so cool, I really wish they had done the rest of the deadly sins. I did a post on these when I first started my blog but I removed it because it just wasn't good enough. Like everything else I'd put these in my draw to review and today I was playing around and I fell in love all over again. These guys are so amazing, but us Brits aren't lucky enough to get them here, thank my stars for makeup swaps and eBay.
I'm going to start first by saying, the light colours aren't very pigmented so I do advise using a different light colour for highlighting etc. You do get fallout but that's to be expected with cheaper brands. I like these palettes because they're mixed, you get three shimmery shades and three matte shades which means you don't just have to have an all shimmery eye look you can have a mixture of the two.
"Pride" is my favourite palette, in my opinion I wouldn't have called this one "Pride" I would have called it "Envy" because the colours are green, you get it? Green with Envy? Oh my humour is lost on you lot ;-) lol. Ok so silliness over, the matte green is a beautiful what I could call "apple green" because that's exactly what it looks like. I love the navy's in this palette, you know how navy eyeshadows can sometimes come transfer on to the skin black? well that isn't the case with these ones, they are extremely pigmented and I am just so impressed and in love with this palette.
My favourite was a toss up between "Vanity" and "Pride" and "Pride" won because of the apple green colour. This palette just makes me smile and drool a little bit, the four browns are just to die for they are really buttery soft and look so good on my eyes. My only complaint about this palette is the golden brown shade I wish it was a tiny bit more pigmented because it's just so pretty.
I'm not as happy as I should be with this palette, the two whites are actually really nice the purple is pretty but it lacks pigmentation. The dark purples however are just gorgeous the glitter is a little on the chunky side but it's ok. The top left white is gorgeous and is more of a lavender white.
And my least favourite, I'm not saying I don't like this palette because I do, the peaches are lovely and so is the silver but you really have to pack it on to get any kind of intensity
All in all, I am very happy with these palettes. They're compact enough to fit in your makeup bag and you really will get the look you desire with mattes and shimmers. I love the swirly pattern on the shadows, it makes them look even cuter but the pattern obviously doesn't last long. I did do a couple of looks with the "Greed" and "Vanity" palettes. This is the first time I've ever done these kinds of looks so please take that into consideration and I'm still getting the hang of eyeliner on top of eyeshadow so pardon the mistakes.
The brown eye is from the "Vanity" palette and the more intense is from the "Greed" palette, the brown eye look I would wear on a daily basis but the darker one would be used for more of a girly pub crawl night out. I really like the way they turned out, don't want to my own trumpet but I think they look good for a first attempt.
What do you think girlies? Do any of you lovelies have any of these palettes?

My top 5 palettes
Hello my cupcakes,
I hope you're all doing ok, I had some bad news today so to cheer myself I wanted to come and blog, I hope you guys don't mind ;-)
I watched a YouTube video the other day about a ladies top five makeup eyeshadow palettes and I got to thinking about my favs so I decided to choose 5 of my own and thought I would talk about them today
So here goes.
Sleek original palette - this is always going to be my favourite palette. I'd be gutted if they ever stopped making them. It has a black for smoking out your eyes, it has an intense turquoise, my favourite purple of all time and a pink, a long with a couple of neutral shadows. The colours are exactly as you see in the pan very pigmented and last for ages.
Lets get a bit Naked with this stunning Urban Decay palette - I got this when it first came out, I think I wanted to fit in with the crowed. I liked it but it stayed in the cupboard it was just too pretty to touch. Last night before cleaning my brushes I decided I was going to do a look with it because I'm obsessed with smog. I can't remember exactly which colours I used but it turned out looking so beautiful. This palette just has everything you could possibly need, a black and brown eyeliner, a mixture of matte and shimmer shadows, darks and lights. You do get a bit of fallout with these shadows but for the beautiful looks you can create, I have wipes by my side to get rid of the excess.
Wet N Wild Pride palette - I'm just going to say about this palette. I do have a review on these palettes coming soon so I don't want to say much, but this really is one of my fav ever palettes. The green apple matte colour it's just die for.
MUA Starry Night - you can read my review here I like this palette for the soft eyeshadows and it has variety of colours from black to pink with whites. The shadows are so pigmented and I think you could create some super cute looks with this baby
And last but in no means least coastal Scents Winter Berry palette - this palette isn't for everybody, it's made up of pinks and purples but it's a seriously beautiful set of pinks and purples. I'm also going to be reviewing this and adding swatches so keep your eyes peeled for this :-)
What are you favourite palettes my loves?
