A little thank you

Hello my beauties,

I hope you're all doing well and the cold isn't affecting you too much, it's murder on my ankle that I injured a few years ago wahhh :'( lol. Ugh that made me sound so old lol.

This year has been both good and bad. I've had a breakdown of my marry marriage but with that came someone who's better and I love dearly. I've also met some really great people on Twitter and got back a friendship I thought was lost forever. I'm liking being a student and things at the moment are just going superbly :-).

I wanted to do a little share the love post to say thank you to everyone who has been there throughout the hard times and the nice times, I don't say thank you enough and I really should. It might seem a little soppy but some of the people I'm about to mention I would consider to be a friend to me, I have to say thank you because I'm truly grateful for all of the kindness they have given me.

So here they are in no particular order.

Jack - I love this guy to bits, I think he's seriously awesome and I couldn't ask for a better LB in the world :-) he makes me so happy :-)

Rachel (Pretty Obsessed) - I met Rachel through my Blogsale and we've become really good friends since, I'm so happy to have found her and the next person

Kelly - I met Kelly through Rachel and I'm so glad I did. These girls make me smile when I am in a bad mood and were there for me when I really someone on a horrible night.

Cas - I messaged Cas by accident one day thinking she was involved with a company and we carried on talking since then, she's a wonderful girl and always listens when I need to bitch haha.

Nav - I met Nav through the Secret Santa Swap that she is hosting and I think she's absolutely lovely and seems to like a lot of things that I like. I'm so happy I have Twitter otherwise I'd never get to meet any of these lovely people.

Rachel (AllThingsRachy) - I also met Rachel through my blogsale and she has become my best customer, lol. She's a lovely girl and I like speaking to her, I like reading her angry tweets about XFactor lol.

I've no specifically everyone on my followers list is important to me I just speak to these guys the most :-)

Much Love and thank you again girlies and manly man Jack lol :-)

The big three

Hi guys and dolls,

I hope you all showered your dads with love and cupcakes yesterday. I really miss mine, it seems to be getting harder each year, especially as the 25th June is the anniversary of his death.

I asked on Twitter the other day, what peoples fav ALL TIME fav eyeshadows were. So I thought maybe it'd be for the greaterrr goood (One for Rachel lol) if I did a little post naming my top three. I have eczema on my eyes which means I have to pick shadows carefully, I think that my left eye is more oily than the right because my makeup always seems to crease on the left first!

I wonder how many I'll pull out of my collection before I've decided I've had enough haha.Wish me luck
Avon eyeliner and shadow pencil in steelsmoke
I used to have about 15 of these pencils (I'm not even kidding) that's how I much I loved them. The eyeliner is gorgeous and once I'd tried to line my lids I fell in love, enter my everyday makeup lol. It's just everything you need, an eyeshadow and eyeliner. How much better can it get. I used to wear it without a primer also so I know it stays put all day

Sleek purple eyeshadow
The original palette is my all time fav palette, It has a black, light pink and of course my purple :-) they're so pigment and last for ages.

Urban Decay Smog
This I just cannot explain, it's so beautiful. I love my golds and this kind of reminds of MAC Indianwood.

Wow I deserve kudos, I kept it to 3 just like I said I would *highfives myself* :-) what are you favourite eyeshadows?

Peace, love and cupcakes

It's all about the Cafe of Hard Rock :-)

Hi guys and dollz,

I hope you're all well.

This is another different post, I don't just talk about makeup you know (well 90% of the time I do) lol, I was talking The Hard Rock Cafe on twitter and me a lovely twitterer got to talking about it and I said I may do a post and here it is. Besides makeup and all things beauty related, HRC Is my other obsession.

If you've never heard of the Hard Rock Cafe, then you've truly missed out and need to find where the nearest one to you is and get your booty down there. The HRC is pure Rock culture, they have so much memorabilia it's awesome. I like the fact that they have rockstars memorabilia in glass cases, such as, The Foo Fighters all the way up HUGE stars like Eric Clapton and Led Zeppelin. It's truly a place for Rock Gods. I wish I would have known about HRC before my dad died. I didn't know about the HRC until my ex took me to Manchester for the weekend and we visited it, from then we vowed to visit as many as we could. And well we did.

The blurb on the site says "Hard Rock is a haven for fans of music, food, and great times. Whether you are down for a Legendary Burger, live music, a Classic Tee, a Rock Star Suite, or the latest collectible pin, there’s something for everyone. Every Hard Rock Cafe, Hotel & Casino, or Live around the world serves up authentic experiences that rock. Since its establishment in 1971, Hard Rock has also been committed to a wide variety of philanthropic causes and activities. Love All – Serve All"

I don't just the place because of all the rock memorabilia, I like the food, the cocktails they make. I like the environment, I'm a huge rocker and appreciate it so much because I feel like it was made for me lol. The staff are friendly, the food is awesome and while waiting for it I can go around and take pictures of all the stuff they. The merchandise is my fav thing in the world, you can eat yourself (I should be a promoter for them haha) happy, drink lots of delicious drinks, sit and stare loving at Dave Grohls guitar and clothes (yes I do I don't care, it's the closest I'll ever get) and then after all these happy things go and visit the Merch Store :-) the merchandise is just amazing. We always bought tshirts, even if I only planned to keep them as a collectable. The ladies tshirts were much better than mens because, they had all these pretty colours and styles. Mens were nice but they came in brown or black. No one HRC is the same, all they share is the name. They have different memorabilia, different tshirts. I'm about this because I don't think I would have been quite so willing to go if they were all the same, no one wants to look at the same things all the time right? My wedding planner heard about our love of all things HRC and on my wedding day she bought me a badge which she had gotten from HRC Hollywood, that was my something new :-). A dream come true for me would to go and work in a HRC somewhere in the States.

So anyway enough of the all loving, I'm going to show you all the tshirts I bought from each HRC we visited.

The first HRC we ever visited (where the obsession started) was Manchester. I was sad they didn't have a pink shirt but whatevs lol
This is my second Favourite one, Dublin was such an awesome place to visit.
Orlando was incredible.
I love this one from Niagara Falls Canada, because of the big butterfly :-)
I don't really think anything need be said about this tshirt :-)
I don't usually buy two tshirts from one place because what's the point but this one was the John Lennon limited edition and I needed it.
This one is my favourite. I love the colour and the 'Love, peace and rock' signs all over it :-)
I'm really sorry about the long post, I tend to talk a lot when I find something I love so much. I'm too passionate for my own good. lol.

Have you ever been to a HRC? I'd love to know, I still have so many I want to visit and I hope one day I get to go to them.

Peace, love and all things Rock and roll :-D

My skincare saviours..

Hi guys,

It's horrible weather outside and I'm sat snuggled up on the sofa. But it's ok, I just wish I had a certain person with me :-)

When I was a baby I had eczema around my mouth, lol seriously I looked like a clown and I'm glad I grew out of it, but my skin cleaned up as I became older. From when puberty hit to just over a month ago, I've had breakouts and lived with dry and sensitive skin. It made me unhappy, but I did notice that when I was happy my skin got better which was good. When stress hits, I think it's only natural to break out and I did.

Recently my skin got progressively worse, I was feeling low and wanted to change it. I decided to ask the doctor for some help, she wanted prescribe me e45 WTF dude, that stuff is sooo greasy, yes it's good for when you're having dry moments but to use daily? My skin would be worse. I googled products that were good for treating acne and redness and came across PanOxyl, I'll never look back now. There's three strengths, it's better to start at 2.5 just to make sure your skin can cope with it. I chose that one knowing if it didn't work I had a great backup in two other strengths.

I tried it as soon as I got home, you're supposed to wash your face with soap and water before you use. I do not and will not put soap on my face it makes things 10 times worse. I'm trying to get through my Liz Earle cleanse and polish so I use that instead and it works just fine. After using PanOxyl for the first time I noticed immediate changes, my skin got better and I still had the odd spot but the stuff worked so well. I used it everyday solidly for for two weeks, after that two weeks I didn't want my skin to get too used to it so I stopped everyday use and decided to use it a few times a week. My skin is looking so much nicer, the redness isn't as bad, I have always had rosey cheeks so it didn't matter me. I went back to my doctor to see if I could try the next strength up which I am yet to try.

The second thing I swear by is, PLJ (pure lemon juice) I get it from Morrisons and I love it, it's quite cheap and can be found in the water isle. I have it with my dinner, I boil the kettle put half a pint of boiling water in, add the PLJ (as much or little as you like) and then top up with cold water. I know it sounds strange but it really helps me so much. I know I'm probably making it seem like it's in my head but it isn't because my dad used to buy it for me and I noticed the differences back then. My skin looks so nice and again I do still have the odd spot, but I'm only human.

There we have it, amazing products for £££, the PanOxyl (the only thing I need to advise you about this is, it drys your face out so you have to use moisturiser afterwards but that does say so on the box and after the moisturiser your skin will feel amazing) cost me £3.10 and the PLJ was about a pound.

What are the products you're loving for your skin right now?

Peace love and cupcakes :-)

My Fav brushes

Hello gorgeous :-)

I hope wherever you are it's better weather for you than it is here in South Yorkshire. It's soo cold, windy and the sky is black with promises of very violent rain storms (I sound like a weather woman). I hope you all had a nice weekend, it seems to be Monday too soon for my liking.

Anyway enough of the chit chat.

I've been messing around with my gel liner recently, they seem to be the other thing I buy loads of. I like gel liner the best because you get to choose your favourite brush. I find it easier to apply with an angled brush than I do with with a liquid liner brush and all the other brushes you get with liners.

L to R - Ecotools, Mac 266 and Sonia Kashuk

I'm going to say outright, the Ecotools brush is by far my fav. It's a little bit more stiffer than the others, which makes for a precise line. Bare in mind guys, I'm still only a beginner with the winged eyeliner technique. I keep going upstairs just before I take a shower to keep practicing it and I feel like I'm getting better, or maybe I'm actually not and it's the brush I use. Hmm *sits and ponders for a while* ok maybe it's both lol. I was messing around on Friday night doing my wing and I sent a picture of it to Carah, because I trust her judgement and she told me it looked super nice and clean.

Please forgive the picture quality of my eye, the lighting in my room is horrible and it was already getting dark. But this is how nicely the brush works.

The 266 brush, I love this brush and yes it's hard for me to put another brush before it. But it's a little bit softer and even though I like the line I get from it I'd still prefer something that doesn't have as much give.

Last but very not least is my Sonia Kashuk brush. I really like this brush, the problem I have with it, however, after the first use and the first wash it sort of loses it's shape and you get strands of the brush that are just sticking out which isn't good. This brush is good for people who are starting out with makeup and need to be able to see what they're doing in the mirror, I love the idea of the bent top because you have so much freedom to be able to see in the mirror. I'm just not sure how many times I'll be able to use the brush.

I think we as girls spend so much money on the 'perfect tools' because when we do our makeup we want to look perfect otherwise what is the point? I mean I have proof that you don't need to spend £16 (I think that's how much it cost for the 266 brush) on a brush when you can go to the drugstore and test out four brushes for £16. I think I've found the one, I just ordered another one from eBay for my makeup bag.

What's your favourite eyeliner brush or any brush?
