A little thank you

Hello my beauties,

I hope you're all doing well and the cold isn't affecting you too much, it's murder on my ankle that I injured a few years ago wahhh :'( lol. Ugh that made me sound so old lol.

This year has been both good and bad. I've had a breakdown of my marry marriage but with that came someone who's better and I love dearly. I've also met some really great people on Twitter and got back a friendship I thought was lost forever. I'm liking being a student and things at the moment are just going superbly :-).

I wanted to do a little share the love post to say thank you to everyone who has been there throughout the hard times and the nice times, I don't say thank you enough and I really should. It might seem a little soppy but some of the people I'm about to mention I would consider to be a friend to me, I have to say thank you because I'm truly grateful for all of the kindness they have given me.

So here they are in no particular order.

Jack - I love this guy to bits, I think he's seriously awesome and I couldn't ask for a better LB in the world :-) he makes me so happy :-)

Rachel (Pretty Obsessed) - I met Rachel through my Blogsale and we've become really good friends since, I'm so happy to have found her and the next person

Kelly - I met Kelly through Rachel and I'm so glad I did. These girls make me smile when I am in a bad mood and were there for me when I really someone on a horrible night.

Cas - I messaged Cas by accident one day thinking she was involved with a company and we carried on talking since then, she's a wonderful girl and always listens when I need to bitch haha.

Nav - I met Nav through the Secret Santa Swap that she is hosting and I think she's absolutely lovely and seems to like a lot of things that I like. I'm so happy I have Twitter otherwise I'd never get to meet any of these lovely people.

Rachel (AllThingsRachy) - I also met Rachel through my blogsale and she has become my best customer, lol. She's a lovely girl and I like speaking to her, I like reading her angry tweets about XFactor lol.

I've no specifically everyone on my followers list is important to me I just speak to these guys the most :-)

Much Love and thank you again girlies and manly man Jack lol :-)

My Christmas Wishlist

Hi Guys and Babes :-)

I hope you're all well. I am seriously cold, Winter is definitely above us and I feel like I should be wearing gloves in the house and everywhere in the world lol.

So, it's no secret that a big day is coming up, everyone keeps talking about this special day and counting down to, it's personally starting to freak me out. If you were thinking "erm what day Joy? Just tell us" then I am sure you will know that I meant That day is Christmas day.

I don't know how many days it is but I am sure someone could comment and tell me. The guy at the bank today told me that is exactly 2months away from Boxing day,CRINGE, I almost closed my accounts and went elsewhere to save my pennies, I don't need to hear such swear words.

I'm not a hater of Christmas I'm just not huge fan anymore. It isn't like it used to be, I don't get to come downstairs in the morning and see all of the pretty wrapping paper and know that in that massive pile of gorgeously wrapped boxes there is going to be a brand new Barbie. I guess if I asked for a brand new Barbie I would probably get one but I'm too old for that now, so why make a big deal you might ask? because that's what Christmas was for me, my mum and dad together, my Nan and Grandad coming over for the day and me and my brother hating each other but getting on just until after lunch when we would go off to our rooms and play with what we got that morning. I just don't look forward to Christmas like I used too. All I want is to be with the one that I love and have him hold me all day long, I'd gladly give up all of my gifts for the next 5 Christmases if it meant I could be there with him.

I think maybe I have rambled on far too long now, just getting into the Christmas spirit as you will. Today's post is about what I would like for Christmas, I'm not necessarily saying "I want everything on my list" because I know I can't have everything that I want, in truth there's just two things that I want off of the list. So I'll get onto it.

1. Hair Extensions - I'm planning drastic changes in December, I want to see the new year in with a brand new colour and long luscious locks.

2. A plane ticket - This is the thing I want the most, I want to wake up Christmas morning to all hugs and kisses I can stand.

3. Sugarpill Makeup - I have seen so many great reviews and I have researched all of the colours that I want, they look so pigmented and long lasting, with just amazing colour payoff. I think it's important I have these in my life lol.

4. Black Cons - Last year my pink converse were an absolute life saver, we had a pretty bad winter with lows of -16 and when the buses finally let us leave the place I live there was ice all over and my converse didn't fail me. I didn't slip once it was amazing. I have pink ones and although I love them I do not feel like they're very practical looking which is why I want black ones.

5. The Wicked Witch of The West leg necklace - I saw this necklace on a site randomly and I wanted it, I love different jewellery and this is definitely different lol.

6. Animal Print killer heels - Although I could never walk in them and they would probably just end up in the bottom of my wardrobe I would love these shoes. I'm really into animal print and every girl needs a pair of platforms.

7. Ruby Red Slippers necklace - I love The Wizard of Oz and when I saw this necklace on eBay I just fell in love. I can't go wandering around the place in red shoes so having them on my necklace would be the ideal thing.

8. Babyliss Wave Envy - I am loving mermaid style waves at the moment and I've seen a few reviews on this and although it's quite pricey I think I'm going to treat myself to it for Christmas.

So that's everything. It's only a wishlist and a girl can wish all she likes. I really wish for a plane ticket, I think spending Christmas somewhere else would be great for me after this not so nice year.

Much Love

New MAC Paint pots

Hello cupcakes,

I hope you're all ok and had a great weekend. I'm off this week which is super nice, not like I'm going to be doing much relaxing I've got lots to do for college and I have decided I'm going to bombard you with Blogposts mwhahaha lol, I'm just kidding.

I think everyone who follows me here and on twitter will know just how obsessed I am with MAC Paint Pots, you can read my previous post on my Paint Pots here so I don't repeat everything I've mentioned before. The reason I like Paint pots is, they're just so low maintenance. Sometimes I'm going out and I don't feel like spending a ton of time on Makeup because I don't have time or whatever other reason but you can stick one of these babies in your bag and you're sorted. They last for ages on my eyes and my eyelids can get pretty greasy, you can apply them with a brush or you can just use your fingers. They're simple yet nice products. I know a lot of people would be instantly turned off by the price and I can agree but one of these paint pots if you store it right and keep it nice could last you for years. That my dears is why I am planning to get as many of them as I can, I LOVE versatile products :-).

I've been waiting for MAC to bring out some nice new paint pots that have good colour pay off and different colours to the permanent ones they have already on the site and in store. It seemed like I had to wait an age for it to happen, I waited patiently (just because I knew it would happen one day soon lol) and recently they came out with some new ones in one of their new collections which I am not sure of the name. I got straight onto google to find swatches etc and I new I had to have them. I got two because MAC were doing free delivery that weekend so I had to take advantage of it.

Here are the pictures :-)

From L - R. Pure creation, Half-Wild and Constructive (which is actually permanent)

I'm not very good at explaining colours so you can agree with me or not here lol.
Pure creation - it's like a peacock blue with hints of green, it's a really gorgeous colour. Like purple I am always searching for a nice blue which doesn't come out black when applied to the skin and this one definitely doesn't.
Half-Wild - I don' know what to say about this purple other than wow, I've been wanting MAC to bring out a purple paint pot for so long and I had to grab them while I could and I did lol. I would say this is the perfect kind of purple, it's a plum purple and I just want to wear it everyday for the rest of my life lol.
Constructive - I'm going to say the same thing about the other two here WOWZERS, seriously this paint pot is just ahmayzing, I would say it's the perfect shade of brown for my eyes because it makes them look even more blue, if that's possible. It's gorgeous and I can only describe it as a bronzed brown.

My final thoughts on these paint pots is just sweet criminy lol, I am so happy with all three of my purchases, I would buy again and I would definitely make my friends get them lol. I have own swatched Pure Creation and Half-Wild but the constructive paint pot is so lovely on, it lasts for ages is just the perfect brown for me. I know with some Paint Pots you don't get very good colour payoff, yes I'm looking at you Rubenesque lol, and yes to get the swatches I had to swipe a couple of times but the colour is still gorgeous and I am going to love playing with them :-)

There we have it, have you seen any nice new paint pots recently? I welcome all suggestions and I will buy when I have the money. Usually I buy makeup and I do stash it but with paint pots I get the most wear out of them because I wear them all the time.

Peace and Love.

College Haul :-)

Hello my loves,

I hope you're all ok and had a great weekend.

This post has been sat in my post box gathering dust because I haven't had much time to take the pics but I wanted to do a new blog and I've been meaning to do this one for a while now, plus I started college over a month ago.

The only downside to studying hairdressing or beauty is the seriously expensive kits you have to buy. It's not just the kits, it's the uniforms, dolls heads and suitcases to carry everything around in. I don't think I am going to bore everyone by showing you everything in my kit because that would be ridiculous because there's so much stuff. Brushes etc. But yay I got my first Denman, that makes me happy :-) I also got my first pair of scissors. I'm learning so much from hairdressing, I'm slowly getting my confidence back and I'm learning that you should do something daring with your hair, test yourself if you think you can't do it you won't be able too but if you try it you'll be surprised.

So without further ado, here are some of my favourite things :-)

The first picture is everything I got and how I carry it around, I was naive in thinking that I would be able to just sling it all in my bag but I can't. It's actually suitcase that is on wheels, I got a ton of stuff brushes, combs, pins, tinting brushes the list just goes on that's why I didn't show everything. The last picture is the things that will be the death of me lol, my curling rods. Ughhh let me just warn you, if any of you ask me for a perm I will just cut your hair off instead, it's healthier and I won't have to spend 17hours of my life doing it lol. I like my suitcase but it's so old and I want an animal print one.

Isn't she beautiful? Lol. I quite like having a dolls head to mess around with, I've taught myself how to do fishtail braids on this bonny little lady lol.

And here is my first pair of scissors :-) I know they aren't fancy but I love them, they're very sharp so I need to wear protective gloves lol. I'd quite like to paint them pink or purple lol.

So there we have it, I'm so excited to be on this course and getting to learn new things. I'm planning major changes for the new year.

Peace and Love

My RAK goodies

Hello my loves.

Long time no see. I've been busy with college and things haven't been going that great in my personal life. But I am slowly getting back into my blog so just bear with me.

So on to today's post which is a long time coming since I got my stuff over a week ago.

Recently I took part in a Random Act of Kindness/swap organised by Leanne from A Slice of My Life and she paired me with Sophie from Country Girl Does Norfolk

A Random Act of Kindness (RAK) is so much fun to take part in, you get to shop unfortunately not for yourself but for the person you get paired up, it's nice to make someone smile with the cute bits you pick up for them. The host will choose a limit for you to spend before shipping in this case it was £10. If you haven't taken part in a RAK then you should keep your eyes peeled and definitely take part in one.

Anyway, enough rambling here is what Sophie got for me.

She wrapped it in a lovely box, unfortunately I ripped right into before I could take pictures of nicely she had organised things. I'm just too inpatient lol. It really felt like Christmas :-)

She sent me a lovely card which I wish I had done instead of just writing a note.

These rings are soooo pretty, I love them so much the flower one is obviously my favourite but they are so pretty. I have fat fingers and I am glad she picked out large for me lol.

I have give massive kudos for the cupcake notebook here, I love cupcakes obviously from my blog name lol. It's really handy to have and I have put it in my bag for in case I need to jot something down.

And the last few bits. I love scarf's and she sent me the cutest one with pink and purple threading. I love the necklace, I've never had pearls before lol. It's also coming up to tights weather so I was very happy to see a cute pair of tights and a little makeup palette which I will get lots of use out of.

So there we have it, my first of many RAK's. If you want to see what I bought for Sophie, follow the link above :-)

Peace and Love

I have a secret only Santa knows.

Hello cupcakes.

I hope you're all well. I've been out of the blog world for a little so I thought I'd come back and share this amazing idea with you.

A couple of days ago while looking at blogposts I spotted a really interesting post from the lovely Jade Fashion & Beauty Disaster she had put together a quick post to let her followers know about an opportunity to take part in an international 'Secret Santa' which The lovely Nav from Navilicious Beauty is hosting for Christmas 2011.

As soon as I saw this I jumped on it because I think this is a such a fun idea. You have an opportunity to meet a new person through blogger, twitter or even email. You also get to go shopping and buy a wonderful present for them which is awesome because I love shopping for other people. If you are interested you have until the 25th October to get your entry in.

You can find all of the information here I would like to say thank you to Nav for coming up with this idea and Jade for also blogging about it. I see that idea is going to be huge and I really cannot wait to see who I get teamed up with :-)

Peace and Love
