TRESemme heated rollers

Hello my loves,

I went out a couple of weeks ago and wanted to curl my hair, but wanted to try something different and so I thought I would try my TRESemme jumbo heated rollers which I got sometime last year. I'm not sure why I used to buy all of these things because my ex never took me anywhere for me to look glam. But I thought I'd give them a test run and see how the curls look when I am finished.

I bought them off of Amazon for £25 I think that was including shipping but I can't confirm either way. I'm just going to say straight out, I don't like them. The thing I do not like about this rollers set is it doesn't have an on off switch, you literally plug it in and they heat up. This wouldn't be a problem but I want heat settings I want to be able to make them hotter so they'll curl better, also, I sometimes leave things plugged in by accident with these guys you couldn't do that.

I don't believe they warm up that well and the curls didn't look very nice either. I think this set of curlers would be perfect for someone with long hair. But the problem is you only get 5 rollers, so if you want to do your whole head you would probably be better with a curling wand or a full set of rollers. I didn't take any pictures of my hair because the curls dropped pretty quickly, I left them in for ages also.

I like how dainty they look in the little round box, I think you could travel easily with them.

The sit on a little piece of raised metal where they heat up. Because they don't have sit properly on top of something they wiggle around and could get broken if you were traveling with them.

They're size but I don't think my hair is long enough and I need more than just five of them.

So there we have it, I'm sorry about the negative review I just think I needed to say it, in case anyone was thinking about getting a set of these.

Babyliss Curling Wand

Hi girlies,

I hope you're all doing well.

The other day while faffing and I decided I wanted to curl my hair with my Babyliss curling wand, I've never tried one of these guys before. It doesn't have a clip like regular curling tongs and this seemed very alien to me. I'm going to throw a little warning out there with this wand, use a heat protection glove and be very careful, I'm serious here. I burnt myself because it gets so hot and while wrapping the hair around it you have to get very close. I don't want you to burn your pretty dannys :-)

This curling wand isn't like anything I've ever or used seen before, I think they're really unique. First of all, yes it's pink and I love it, who doesn't want a pink curling wand? Not me that's who. The wand is tapered and goes from 32mm to 19mm which can create really nice loose curls if you keep them at the the larger end or it can create tighter Taylor Swift type curls towards the end of the wand. Now, I was worried how I could use this because it doesn't have a clip to it but it's actually really easy, easier than using a curling tong. All you have to do is position your arm behind your head and point the wand down, then wrap your hair around it. It's up to you which way you do it, I like to go towards my face and away from my face.

The temperature goes up to 25 and heats up really quick. When you switch it on a red light flashes, where you see the number one it is a green light which will flash, once they stop flashing it is ready to use. The other thing about this wand is it also has a swivel cord which makes it easier to use.

I love the curls I really do, they did drop a bit but I think that's the hairspray I used. I've never been able to curl my hair and keep them looking nice but with this baby it's so easy. You know how some tongs take a lot of length off of your hair when you curl? well I didn't seem to lose much length which is really good. I am starting to become really obsessed with curly hair, I'm used to having straight hair with a bit of a kin in the middle where my layers are. It didn't take long to achieve these curls, I always struggle when getting the back of my head but with the swivel cord and no clamp it's great

What are your favourite curling wands or any heat tools? Also I need some new hairspray ideas, the ones I have make my hair crunchy and not so good.

Andrew Barton triple barrel waver

Hello cupcakes,

I hope you're all doing well.

While going through my makeup (I blogged about this here) last week, I thought it would be a good idea for me to use some of my heat tools too, I have a few curling tongs and straighteners gathering dust in a draw. I've always been a fan of beachy waves, so when I saw the Andrew Barton Triple barrel waver in Argos a couple of years ago I knew I had to have it for the summer months I got this a couple of years ago from Argos, I obsessed over it and explained to the other half that I he didn't understand why but I got anyhow. As per me, I got it and it went unused in a draw until this weekend. I got it on sale, it should have been £30 but I got it for £15 win.

I love pink and black together and then adding silver to made it even better. I'm not sure if you get this particular waver anymore, in all honesty it doesn't have to be this one, just pick up any brand.

I found it extremely easy to use, however, when I tried to get the back of my head I struggled quite a bit, for a beginner it didn't look all that bad. The major problem with this barrel is, there is a gap which means that if you aren't careful your hair will slip through and it won't get the waved effect like the rest of your hair. Each time I moved onto a different piece I left it for 10-20 seconds and the waves looked so pretty.

When heating the waver ready for use you press the little button that says "1" and a red light will start flashing, once it's ready it will stop flashing. The pink dial goes min to 8, I set it to six and it worked perfectly.

So you are probably thinking what do the waves look like and here they are, my hair won't accept curls because it's fine and they drop out after an hour, I spritzed my hair with some TRESSemme hairspray and they lasted so long. My hair had volume I'd never seen before. I couldn't be any happier with the finished look and literally could not stop looking at it in the mirror.

This is the second day hair, the curls still looked cute and I think a little bit more beachy as they had dropped a fair bit. I still had awesome volume. I will be sporting this hairstyle lots when I go out and when I want something different.

What's your favourite curling tong, straightener or waver?
